Parabolic Microphones with Included Microphones

wildtronics parabolic microphone

Pro Mono Parabolic Microphone $760

This is a very popular parabolic microphone model. Most customers use this model if they are using an XLR based recorder. You have a choice between three true parabolic dishes; Black Ops, Standard Clear Polycarbonate, or Feather Light Clear Polycarbonate. The Pro Mono includes our exclusive Booster Disc system that obtains better frequency response, better subject isolation, and better gain than conventionally designed parabolic microphones. It includes our built-in, permanently focused, ultra low noise microphone array, with both XLR and 3.5mm outputs. The included microphone is very good and is well matched to the system to obtain maximum performance. This is intended for those with high quality recording equipment with or without phantom power. If you need a unit with a direct headphone output, see our Amplified Pro Mono Parabolic Microphone below. Click here for more details on the Pro Mono Parabolic Microphone.

parabolic microphone with headphone output

Amplified Pro Mono Parabolic Microphone $940

This is our most popular parabolic microphone. It is the same as our Pro Mono above, except it includes our exclusive, built-in, low noise preamp for the 3.5mm outputs. The adjustable gain preamp will allow you to make fast, professional recordings with very portable, low cost recorders and cameras, with 3.5mm inputs, by overwhelming their typically noisy inputs with a larger signal. You can even directly connect a headphone to this model. The direct XLR outputs are maintained and are not amplified for use with high quality XLR based recorders. This is a very versatile system that can connect to almost any recording device, even cell phones with an adapter. New for 2019 are switchable high pass and low pass filters for the amplified 3.5mm outputs. We highly recommend this model if you want a very portable solution using a small recorder attached to the handle with our Mini Accessory Bar, or need a direct headphone output. Many universities, research centers, and law enforcement/military agencies choose this model for it's versatility. Click here for more details on the Amplified Pro Mono Parabolic Microphone.

stereo parabolic microphone

Pro Mono-Stereo Parabolic Microphone $1049

This model has the same mono parabolic microphone as the Pro Mono model above, but adds two additional, outward facing Left and Right microphones positioned for stereo background pickup. All three channels can be recorded at once, just the parabolic microphone, or just the stereo pair. This is an all-in-one microphone, and is a Wildtronics exclusive. The parabolic reflector has a minor effect on the stereo pair microphones since they are outside of the parabolic focal point. This model is great for those who want to capture additional wide-angle background sounds, that the highly directional parabolic mic would normally reject. To best utilize this model, you should have a high quality 3 or more channel recorder and or mixer. Click here for more details on the Pro Mono-Stereo Parabolic Microphone.

parabolic microphone with built-in preamps and mixer

Amplified Pro Mono-Stereo Parabolic Microphone $1330

This is our fully featured, and very popular model for those who want to be prepared for anything, and may also want to use lower cost recording equipment. It is the same as the Pro Mono-Stereo model above, except that it includes 3 of our built-in, low noise preamps. This model is a complete outdoor recording system you can use as a mono parabolic microphone, and or a background stereo mic. You can combine the three channels to 2 channels, on the 3.5mm outputs, with the built-in mixer. Our low noise preamps and mixer allows for excellent recordings, even with low cost stereo recorders and cameras. All 3 direct XLR outputs are also available, unamplified, for use with high quality recording equipment. The 3.5mm amplified output can even directly drive headphones. Parabolic Kits without Microphones

mini parabolic mic for on camera

Pro Mini Parabolic $199-250

This very popular, 11-inch, super lightweight, parabolic kit uses your own microphone or add one of ours. You can use almost any omnidirectional mic from lavaliere to pencil style mics up to 26mm in diameter. Fantastic for on camera use! The Wildtronics Pro Mini Parabolic will transform an omnidirectional microphone into a shotgun-like microphone, but with better isolation and range. Compared to the 22-inch models, this will have about half the range and the gain will start at 400Hz instead of 200Hz, but great for portability and subjects less than 150 feet away. Specially designed dish greatly improves low frequency response compared to competing small parabolic systems, plus ours are lower priced. Click here for more details on the Pro Mini Parabolic Kit.

Wildtronics Parabolic Secondary Windscreen

Secondary Windscreen $40

This highly recommended and popular sock-like cover slips over the Pro Parabolic Microphones and extends use in winds up to 20 MPH. Best of all, it does not block the view through the clear dish, allowing you to aim and track subjects. Without this additional windscreen, wind protection is good for winds up to 10-12 MPH using the primary windscreens included with each microphone. The material may be sprayed with silicone waterproofing spray, when off of the microphone, to increase the weather resistance of the parabolic microphone.

wildtronics dampening ring

Dampening Ring $30.00

It retains itself without any glue needed.

The Pro Cable Clamp screws onto the Wildtronics Pro, Pro Mini, and All Purpose accessory mount. This windscreen is available in both black and camouflage. This windscreen will also stretch over our Standard Clear Polycarbonate dishes, allowing you to further increase the wind tolerance over using the parabolic secondary windscreen alone. Wildtronics Parabolic Dishes

clear parabolic dish polycarbonate

Standard Clear Polycarbonate Dish (0.060 inch thick) $135

This is our most popular 22-inch parabolic dish. It is a highly accurate, true parabolic dish and is made from superior, 100% polycarbonate plastic. It weighs 16 ounces. Polycarbonate plastic is a very durable plastic that can bend and take abuse without cracking. Thicker sections of this type of plastic are used in "bullet proof glass". Polycarbonate can also withstand higher temperatures, unlike competitors who use cheap PETG plastic that can actually distort if stored in a hot car. This dish can be bent or curled to fit airline luggage, but not curled too tightly, about a 12 inch diameter. All of our dishes have a 3.75 inch hole in the middle for use in our highly stable mounting system.

flexible rolling clear parabolic dish polycarbonate

Feather Light Clear Polycarbonate Dish (0.030 inch thick) $135

This is our very lightweight 22-inch parabolic dish. It weighs just 9 ounces. It is a very accurate, true parabolic dish made from 100% polycarbonate plastic. This dish is flexible enough to roll into a 6 inch diameter for temporary transit (24-48 hours) and it pops back into shape when unrolled. Polycarbonate has a remarkable shape memory, unlike competitors that use cheap PETG plastic, allowing it to pop back into a accurate parabolic shape when unrolled. This dish is great when you need a super light dish for travel or mounting onto camera rigs. Being made from stiffer polycarbonate in combination with our large mounting surface, this dish will not distort in the wind like inferior products will. Polycarbonate also withstands much higher temperatures without issue.

black ABS parabolic dish

Black Ops Dish (0.060 inch thick ABS plastic) $85

This dish is just as accurate, with the same audio quality, as our clear polycarbonate dishes, but made from a lower cost, easier to mold ABS plastic. The weight is 14 ounces. It is stiffer than the Standard Polycarbonate dish and does not flex much. This dish is for those who want to save a little money or who may want to paint or camouflage their dish.
